We are looking for volunteers to help us look after this beautiful cemetery garden.
The cemetery won a ‘plant places’ award in 2011 but, due to austerity cuts, has had minimum attention since then. The brambles, bindweed and sycamore are trying to dominate the space, and although we like the wilding look, we do have our work cut out to curb their excesses!
We’re a small group working with Bristol City Council. We would love people to join us. We can supply gloves and tools if necessary.
Two of us have completed the parks training course so that anyone working with us is insured. There are also opportunities to do the training yourselves.
At the moment we work as many Monday mornings as we can, between 9.30 to 12.30 weather permitting!
We would love to hear from you so if you are curious or interested, please email Di and Jo at brunswickcemetery@yahoo.com
