We run two evening youth groups on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, at the Adventure Playgrounds in Southmead and Easton, for young people aged 8-12 and 13-18.
We are looking for volunteers who want to help run the groups! This might be helping young people to safely explore the adventure playground, or facilitating games, crafts, discussions, sensory activities, sports, or cooking. Our young people enjoy chatting, playing, and learning together about the world around them. Volunteers are welcomed from a broad background. A lived experience or awareness of autism or neurodivergence is welcomed, but not essential.
You will work alongside the Youth Development Worker and an Assistant Youth Worker with other volunteers to plan a varied programme to enable young people to build positive relationships, develop skills and confidence, and improve their lives and community.
FACE is an active and developing youth and community charity with training, support, and progression opportunities if volunteers seek to further work in this sector - or equally we welcome volunteers who want to step back from paid work, or do something completely different from their 'day job' and volunteer their time to help others and have fun at the same time!
