Description

Looking to join a movement working to make social change? Want to be part of a growing community and make new friends? Want flexibility in the hours you volunteer? Volunteer with The Hygiene Bank Bristol now and make a real difference in your community.

We are a grassroots, people-powered charity and social movement, grounded in community. Our passion stems from the injustice that people may be unable to fully participate in society due to hygiene poverty.

What is hygiene poverty?

Hygiene Poverty is not being able to afford many of the everyday hygiene essentials most of us take for granted - for example, toothpaste, deodorant and shampoo.

When do I need to be available?

Volunteering with The Hygiene Bank Bristol is a flexible role that can fit around your current commitments - so you choose when to complete your volunteering and what time you have to offer. There are no set hours.

Where will I be volunteering?

The Community Partners we support are based across Bristol, so there is flexibility on where you are located. We can provide more details if you would like further information.

What will I be doing?

Our volunteers collect, sort and distribute donated hygiene products to the registered Community Partners they support. We are looking for someone who will coordinate The Hygiene Bank Bristol project.

What skills do I need?

We do not ask for any specific skills to become a volunteer.

What will I get out of volunteering?
Volunteering is an empowering, social experience that gives you the opportunity to make a real and tangible difference to people in your local community.

If this sounds like something you are interested in exploring and you want to know more please see our website or you can email me at sue.lindsay@thehygienebank.com.
