Volunteers really are the lifeblood of inHope! They enable us to open the doors to help people who are hungry, homeless, and suffering the effects of addiction and poor mental health.
Every volunteer helps by rolling up their sleeves to serve food, wash dishes, sweep floors, deliver food parcels, make beds, maintenance, serve as a trustee or simply show some love to somebody experiencing a crisis. Not every volunteer does all of the tasks listed here - they're spread across a variety of different roles! Volunteers also sort and pack food donations/parcels as well as (and more frequently than) delivering them. Also, inHope run the South & East Bristol Foodbank (across six different foodbank outlets) in partnership with Trussell.
Please note that some of our roles are only available to female volunteers, and all volunteers must be aged 18 or above.
All volunteers receive a range of support including an induction, training and supervision from inHope staff.
