Our tree planting season has now come to an end for 2023-24. Please check back later in the year for more volunteering opportunities (Tree planting season usually runs between December - February, weather dependent)

Help us to grow the Forest of Avon - We're welcoming volunteers to help us plant trees, woodlands and hedgerows across the West of England!

We need the help of volunteers to support us with tree planting this season, with plenty of opportunities available across Bristol, Bath, North East Somerset and South Glos.

As part of our Trees for Climate fund, we need help with varied projects focussed on planting trees and woodlands, wood pasture, orchards and hedgerows. Tasks may include digging, planting and staking trees and mulch matting. All tools will be provided and our Tree Team will be on hand to answer questions and guide you along the way.

Orchard Pruning Workdays:

We're also offering an exciting new programme of orchard maintenance workshops and volunteer dates as part of our 'Orchard for Pollinators' Project, which will take place at community orchards across Bristol, Bath and South Glos. The aim is to recruit and offer free training to volunteers so that they have the skills to care for their local communtiy orchard.

Connecting with nature and spending time in green spaces has proven benefits to our mental wellbeing and physical health. Our volunteer days are the perfect way to enjoy the many benefits of spending time outdoors, while giving back to nature and feeling the satisfaction of helping your local area to become a little bit greener!
