1625 Independent People supports young people who are facing, or at risk of, homelessness in Bristol. We provide safe accommodation and wellbeing support.
We’ve been chosen as the official charity partner for the Frenchay 10K on Sunday, April 19th. If we can get 20 volunteer marshals on the day, we’ll receive between £3,000 and £7,000 in fundraising – money that goes directly towards supporting local young people.
What you’d be doing:
Cheering on runners, directing them at key points on the route, and helping make sure everyone has a safe and enjoyable race day. It’s fairly straightforward, and it’s quite good fun too.
When:
Sunday, April 19th, 8:45am – 12:30pm
Why volunteer?
Your time genuinely makes an impact. As well as helping the race run smoothly – you will be helping raising significant funds for young people who need safe housing and support, and showing them that the community cares. You’ll also get to meet other volunteers and spend a morning outdoors doing something worthwhile.
No experience necessary – just enthusiasm and a willingness to support your local community.
