The Get Growing Garden Trail returns on the weekend of 20 & 21 September 2025, opening the gates to some of Bristol’s most inspiring fruit and veg gardens. As ever, we’re looking for a team of volunteer photographers to help us capture the magic.
These photos are more than just snapshots – they’re a way for community growers to celebrate and share their spaces, and for us to showcase the power of local food. We make all images available via our Flickr photo library, a resource that’s freely used by participating gardens and others working in sustainable food across the city.
What’s involved:
- Visit one or more gardens over the weekend – just one site or several, on either or both days
- Take informal photos of the gardens, activities, visitors, or anything that catches your eye
- Share your images with us so we can upload them to our Flickr archive (with credit, of course!)
Who can take part:
- Anyone with an interest in photography and a love for community spaces – no qualifications or fancy camera gear needed
- Great for beginners, hobbyists or seasoned snappers alike
- Perfect for those looking to explore some of Bristol’s hidden green gems
The gardens are dotted all over the city – a full list will be posted soon at bristolgoodfood.org/ggt, but you can browse past participants now to get a flavour.
Whether you're keen to develop your photography skills, support local food growing, or simply enjoy a peaceful stroll through some of Bristol’s greenest corners, we’d love to have you on board.
