Building relationships: This role allows you to work closely with a team, build relationships with volunteers, and create a positive and supportive atmosphere.
Flexibility: If you are looking for a role that can fit around your existing commitments, the flexible hours make this a great opportunity for those seeking a balance between personal time and meaningful work.
Growth and adaptability: As the role evolves with the organisation, you’ll have the chance to learn, grow, and be part of an exciting time in the charity’s journey.

The coordinator will recruit, interview, and match volunteers with roles that fit their skills and interests.
The manager will ensure new volunteers feel welcomed and confident in their roles by guiding them through the necessary steps. This includes going over set requirements at key stages, such as sending a DBS application after two shadowing shifts and introducing uniform requirements once probation is complete. Each step will be clearly explained to ensure volunteers understand what’s expected and can smoothly transition into their roles.
Event Coordination: Depending on the organisation’s needs, the coordinator may also be involved in organising volunteer driven events and handling all the details to make them successful.
Data Management: Keeping track of volunteer hours and other relevant information is important to ensure everything is well documented and easy to access. For this we use a combination of platforms such as Member Mojo, and Notion. All are straightforward to use.
This role is primarily about helping with volunteer recruitment by chatting with interested candidates and supporting them through the onboarding process. The coordinator will be a friendly, welcoming point of contact, helping the charity stay organised and ensuring everything runs smoothly as we grow.
This role will require voluntary hours of one day per week, but the great thing is that it’s flexible! You could spread the hours throughout the week in a way that works best for you. For example, you might prefer to do a couple of hours a day over four days to stay on top of everything, or you could dedicate a full day, whether it’s during the day or in the evening. It’s a remote role with lots of flexibility, but you’ll still be a valued and connected part of the team!
