Could you help our British Heart Foundation store in Brislington to list more unusual / high value items? With support around you and full training provided, you will be researching items that are donated, photographing them and creating detailed listings - helping us continue to fund life-saving research into heart disease.

This is a quieter, back of house role that is very flexible to suit your availability - a few hours once a week to suit you, any day, would be great! You'll be working with the paid staff who can train you, and you can take your time with lots of support available :)

Maybe you already know your way around online selling platforms or maybe it’s something you want to find out more about; either way you will be fully supported by the Brislington team to make sure you develop the skills and experience needed to become an expert lister volunteer!  Get the satisfaction of seeing the items you list sell for the best possible prices, knowing this will be helping us continue to fund life-saving research into heart and circulatory diseases.

Typical tasks include:

  • Writing informative and accurate descriptions of the items we are selling including details about condition, measurements and any defects or flaws.
  • Making sure the item is placed in the correct selling category to make it easy for customers to find just what they are looking for
  • Helping to upload photos to really showcase the items

Volunteering with British Heart Foundation comes with plenty of benefits too…

  • A 25% discount on donated goods and 10% discount on New Goods in our shops
  • Unlimited, free, and confidential support by Retail Trust
  • Access to training and development
  • Reasonable travel expenses reimbursed in agreement with the Shop Manager if volunteering 2-3 hours or more
  • Refreshments available and free parking available on site
  • Volunteer certificates, references and long service awards provided
  • Access to discounts with other retailers

Just so you know, we are unable to accept volunteers aged under 17 or with unspent criminal convictions. Please note this is an unpaid voluntary position in a friendly charity shop.

Contact Jack or Luke to join a friendly team, meet new people, promote reuse culture and help us save lives!
