Since Covid19 kicked off in the UK there has been an increased number of people without access to the simple necessity of food. National Food Service Bristol is helping combat this by providing food free of charge through creating wholesome cooked meals and delivering it directly to people’s doors across Bristol We need volunteer drivers, packers and phone line operators.

  • Being a volunteer driver involves picking up food orders from one of our kitchens and delivering it to people across Bristol, though you will always be given drop offs as close to your home as possible.
To be a volunteer driver you need your own car on which you are insured to drive.

  • Being a phone line volunteer involves answering phone calls from members of the public in need of food, putting through food orders online or signposting to other services and offering a listening ear.
Volunteering on our phoneline can be done from your own home using your own phone and computer. It’s a perfect role for anyone who’s still isolating or is worried about going out.

  • Being a packing volunteer involves packing the orders we receive from those who need food. We and extras 6 days a week from Monday - Saturday and our packers are essential to this process! We need packers for Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday-it could be one day or all 3 days. You can come alone or with someone else in your household.
