Casualties Union is a charity that has been providing assistance to those tasked with saving lives for 80 years.
We have branches all over the country but are looking for like minded volunteers for a newly started branch in Bristol. The commitment involves attending monthly training as often as possible and being prepared to do at least two duties a year. These duties are a mixture of local casualty realism for youth first aid groups and emergency services and large training exercises, which may be further afield for combined emergency training exercises.
No experience is necessary though in our branches we do have paramedics and St John Trained personnel as well as students training in special effects make up.
Casualties come from all walks of life. We are open to a wide age range and welcome people with disabilities. Young people aged 11 and up, who are happy with the realism, can follow our cadet programme if accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Please make contact and spread the word.
