Our clubs play a vital role in providing support and opportunities for vulnerable children and their families. They offer a safe and nurturing environment where children can explore their creativity, develop new skills, and build positive relationships with peers and trusted adults. For many children and young people, these clubs offer a sense of stability and belonging.
We have a range of opportunities on offer including: creative clubs with 5 - 11 year olds, clubs for 11 - 16 year olds and stay and play sessions with families seeking asylum/refugees. We ask that volunteers are available for a minimum of 2 sessions during the summer.
What we're looking for:
- Someone curious and excited about youth work and using creativity for the social and emotional development of young people.
- Someone who is available during our delivery dates and times.
- Someone who can get to and from the programme independently.
What you'll gain:
- Work with young people and make a positive change in the community.
- A subsidised or free Enhanced DBS dependent on circumstance.
- Invaluable experience and skills in facilitation and the creative industry.
- Boost your confidence and meet inspiring young people and team members.
- A reference which can be used for your further education or work applications.
- The chance to discover new areas of interest.
What skills do you need?
As a volunteer, no prior experience or skills are required!
We simply ask that you:
- Show a keen initiative to learn and get involved.
- Display a friendly and kind attitude.
- Are reliable and punctual.
