Resolve West has provided a range of free, impartial and independent restorative approaches to people in Avon & Somerset for over thirty five years and has helped improve the lives of thousands of people since 1987, working to resolve conflict and repair harm.
We are currently seeking a treasurer to join our Board of Trustees. As a treasurer you will oversee the financial running of the charitable company in line with good practice and in accordance with the governing document and legal requirements, and report to the board at regular intervals about the financial health of Resolve West. You will work closely with our Finance Officer and Director to ensure that effective financial measures, controls and procedures are put in place and are appropriate for the charity and as a trustee you will play a full strategic role in the running of our organisation. We currently employ 11 full or part-time staff and have approximately 60 volunteer mediators. Our turnover is approximately £0.5m.
Description:
- Ensure that the financial resources of the charity meet its present and future needs
- Oversee and approve annual financial statements, budgets and management accounts.
- Oversee and present comprehensive and accurate financial reports to the Board
- Advising the Board on financial implications of its strategy and policy objectives
- Identifying any financial risks and recommending appropriate action
- Liaise with the Director and Finance Officer about relevant financial matters
- Regularly meet and provide support to the Finance Officer where required
