Winner ? Best Pro Comedy Night, and Best Live Comedy Format for Wales & the West (Chortle, 2025)

The award-winning The People's Comedy joins the Bristol Community Festival, a city-wide celebration of inspiring social action and community-driven work happening across our magnificent city.

Winner ? Best Comedy Format in Britain for Midlands and West (Chortle, 2024)
Winner ? Best Themed Comedy Night in the UK outside of London (Chortle, 2023)

The People's Comedy, a community interest company established in 2018, has become a cornerstone of Bristol’s and now increasingly Britain's comedy scene, distributing tens of thousands of pounds to support grassroots, original comedians.

On 4th April 2025, this night presents a vibrant showcase of local talent at the PRSC in Stokes Croft. This event, co-designed with the Bristol community, aims to provide a platform for local comedians while offering Bristolians opportunities to engage in event planning, comedy performance, public speaking, and confidence-building activities. It also fosters skill development and creates pathways for ongoing collaboration within the local creative and comedic industries.

LOW COST! To make this night the most accessible that it can be, we are charging a small fee of 50p + booking fee. Having said this, if you'd like to pay more then of course you can and it will go towards supporting Bristol's and increasingly the country's most pioneering comedy night.
