We are a self-sufficient community space between Eastville and Horfield. We were the first public library to be closed by Bristol City Council so we took it over as a community and now provide a safe and open space for all of the community, with activities, a cafe, and a community garden, and hire.
We have created a 100% volunteer run, vibrant community hub, with a community cafe, library space, workshops & activities, an edible garden, play space and hire room, but we always need your help!
At the moment, we open on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays to the public, and always need extra pairs of hands to man the counter and serve cups of tea. In. particular, we need to give our Monday and Friday team a helping hand so would love anyone who could come along and give a hand (or take the lead). Our volunteers range in age from 17 - 85, and there's something for everyone to help with and we're a lovely bunch. If you fancy getting creative or working from home, we always need help with displays and with admin tasks such as managing bookings on the days we are open to private hire. Do you think you can be part of it?
