The Haven is a grassroots community nature project established in 2006 by and for people with lived experience of addiction, mental health challenges, social isolation, and life trauma. Our aim is to build peer-led support networks rooted in nature, creativity, and community—offering a pathway to recovery, resilience, and social health outside of mainstream services.
Our services include open community days (Tuesdays and Fridays), structured workshops and seasonal projects. Exploring nature connection, herbal remedy-making, gardening, creativity, and other well-being practices. The Haven also provides an opportunity to relax and restore in nature.
The Haven’s land (1.3 acres) includes herb gardens, orchards, vegetable beds, and wild spaces—all of which are shared and cared for collectively.
