St Peter’s Hospice is wonderfully supported by the community, who fundraise and donate money in a variety of ways. The fundraising team work hard to ensure each supporter is thanked and feels valued, and we now have a dedicated Supporter Care Team to manage this we are hoping to improve this care even further.
What you will be doing
You will be helping the new Supporter Care Team trial a thanking initiative of calling every new St Peter’s supporter each month.
We would like to call each new donor every month so we can thank them personally, find out more about them, and be able to support any future fundraising, volunteering, or event participation they may be interested in.
Initially we would like the trial to discover:
- how long each call would take
- how many calls one individual could get through in a day, to understand volunteer/staff capacity
- how these calls were received by supporters and what, if any, actions flow from them
Skills, experience, and qualities needed
As Supporter Care Volunteer you will be an ambassador for St Peter’s Hospice and our fundraising team. You will be:
- Empathetic, outgoing, and approachable, with a confident telephone manner
- A good listener and communicator
- Open to learning and developing new skills
- Prepared to work alone and as part of a team
- Comfortable with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
