Volunteers will deliver activities throughout the Museum.
Summer Activities Volunteers contribute to the overall visitor experience and play an important part in inspiring young people and promoting the possibilities of careers in science and engineering. So, if you have a passion for planes, engineering, space or history, are enthusiastic about education, are mad for museums, or are hoping to gain experience for employment, we want to hear from you!
The role is required over the Summer School Holidays. You will be able to able to choose the days that you would like to volunteer and will be notified in advance of what days volunteers are required.
Our volunteering opportunities are open to anyone aged 16 and over. No previous experience is required and full training will be provided.
Tasks will include but not be restricted to:
• Set-up and deliver STEAM based activities
• Object handling from the Museums Archives
• Interact with customers by delivering activities to enhance the visitor experience
We are looking for people who:
• Have a passion for STEAM and inspiring the next generation
• Have a willingness to interact with people of all ages and backgrounds particularly the younger visitors
• Are able to work as part of a team
• Have a willingness to promote the museum and its activities.
Please note no previous experience is required and full training will be provided.
