Volunteer to keep our garden watered over the summer months
July and August at St Werburghs Community Centre
About the role
We are looking for friendly and enthusiastic volunteers to help us make sure our garden is hydrated during dry spells
This includes watering the garden once a week throughout July and August, which takes approxiately 1 hour and would need to be during our opening hours. This can be at a time convienent to you, but ideally would be either on Monday, Friday or over the weekend.

- Friendly and Approachable: Our volunteers have excellent interpersonal skills and enjoy interacting with people from diverse backgrounds in a welcoming and inclusive manner.
- Commitment to Community: Our volunteers have passion for community engagement and a genuine interest in fostering connections within the local area.
- Enthusiastic & Positive Attitude: Able to work independently, have a positive attitude and reliably turn up for shifts
- Respect for Diversity: Our volunteers show respect for diverse perspectives, cultures, and identities, fostering an inclusive environment where all individuals feel valued and respected
- Enjoy being active and have a love for the outdoors
Tasks
Tasks will mainly include watering the garden. However, if the weather has been wet we can give you some other garden related tasks
About St Werburghs Community Centre
St Werburghs Community Centre is one of Bristol’s busiest and most loved community buildings with over 50 years of history and 80,000 annual footfall. It offers a range of meeting rooms and event spaces within its beautiful Victorian building and the eco-friendly annexe, which are used by over 300 groups per year delivering services, training, support sessions, classes and events.

Training & Support
There will be a volunteer in-person briefing before your first shift, and staff will be there to support you whenever you are at the centre.
You are also welcome to come and meet the team at the centre beforehand.
