Our Warehouse Team is looking for new volunteers to join their team. We need volunteers to support our Stock and Logistics Supervisor who manages the organisation’s stock (including new merchandise, online shop, promotional fundraising materials, publications and other commodities). 

As a Stock and Dispatch Volunteer, your contribution will be invaluable in ensuring the smooth running of the dispatch operation. This, in turn, will help deliver vital fundraising income and excellent customer engagement for Young Lives vs Cancer.

What you’ll be doing

As a member of our warehouse team you will be working in the Young Lives vs Cancer Warehouse supporting the Stock and Logistics Supervisor in day to day tasks as required, including

• Packaging sold items accurately and securely to ensure the right items are sent to supporters and that we are able to provide the best possible customer service

• Working with other volunteers and staff to ensure items are sent out on time

•To pick, pack and distribute commodities, publications and consumables to Young Lives vs
Cancer teams across the charity

• To fulfil orders from our Online Shop and ensure all orders are dispatched within the agreed
timescale(s)

• To prepare all orders for dispatch using franking machine for Royal Mail

What skills or experience you'll need

• Bundles of enthusiasm and passion for Young Lives vs Cancer!
• The ability to work quickly and efficiently
• An experience of working in a warehouse is not essential as you will receive full training
• To take responsible for your own health & safety while volunteering with us

We’re looking for volunteers who can commit a few hours or days each week during our opening hours from Monday to Friday between 9am and 4pm.

Availability

Our Warehouse is open Monday to Friday from 9 am to 4 pm. We'd love to have you join us whether you can volunteer with us for a few hours or days each week.
