Roles and responsibilities Scout Group Supporter / Committee
Adult Volunteer Team Supporter / Committee Member.
For a Scout to Group to run effectively there needs to be a committee of adult volunteers how support the Scout Group as –
A Scout Group Chair, Secretary, Treasurer, Equipment Quartermaster and Members of the Committee. The responsibilities of the committee are -
Acting collectively as charity trustees of the Scout Group
Complying with the Policy, Organisation and Rules of The Scout Association (POR)
Protecting and maintaining any property and equipment owned by and/or used by the Group
Managing the Group finances
Providing insurance for people, property and equipment
Providing sufficient resources for Scouting to operate, including supporting recruitment, other adult support and fundraising activities
Contributing to the running of the Group, administrative support, strategic direction, compliance with relevant legislation and completion of the duties set out in The Scout Association’s Policy, Organisation and Rules.
