Are you ready to help Bristol waste nothing?
We are looking for volunteers to help in our two Reuse Shops in Bristol.
Our Reuse team is proud to work at Bristol Waste’s Household Reuse and Recycling Centres (HRRCs) to ensure high-quality, working, clean items can be given a second chance, and are diverted from the waste stream.
We run high-quality outlets where customers can buy pre-loved items at affordable prices, safe in the knowledge that what they buy is safe and fit for purpose.
Our Reuse shops have sold or donated over 350,000 items so far, and we're only getting bigger.
Where?
Our Reuse Shop, at Avonmouth or Hartcliffe Way Household Recycling and Reuse Centres
When?
The reuse shops are open 09:30 to 15:30 each day when the HRRC site is open.
Volunteering in this role is welcomed between these hours in two three-hour shifts (09:30-12:30 and 12:30-15:30).
If volunteering for both shifts, then a half-hour lunch break will be given.
Volunteering duties
We offer two roles:
Donation support volunteer - assisting the team in the smooth flow of high-quality, clean and desirable items from the donation drop-off point to the shop floor. This is a customer-facing role.
Till support volunteer - assisting the team in the smooth running of the shop, helping to generate income for expanding our reuse offer and raising money for local charities. This is a customer-facing role.
Full training is provided, no experience is needed for either role.
