What you’ll be doing
Young Lives vs Cancer’s Good Books Campaign” is a unique 7-day eBay auction that runs during World Book Day. This year it falls on 3rd March with our auction running from 28th February to 6th March. The auction gives readers the chance to bid to become a named character in their favourite authors’ books. Alongside this we also offer a high number of signed books and where possible offer personalised inscriptions.
The campaign raises thousands of pounds for Young Lives vs Cancer and we’re looking to build on this success by building relationships with new authors along with developing relationships with illustrators and potentially extending the reach of the campaign to including characters in gaming.
You will be working closely with the online retail team researching popular fiction authors and publishers and building on the current database for approaches for the campaign.
- Researching successful book bloggers to aid in promoting the campaign on social media.
- Maintaining contact information, correspondence and sales information on a master spreadsheet
- Exploring links with the gaming community and the potential for developing characters with local game makers.
