We are looking for a volunteer to join us in helping vulnerable adults gain independent living. You will be working alongside a team of support workers and a maintenance guy assisting in any of the day-to-day runnings of our charity. Looking after and helping our residents with day-to-day chores, perhaps teaching them to cook or to garden. It is a great opportunity to gain some experience in this field and to do something that is very rewarding.
Now a bit about us!
Who are we and what do we do?
The Junction Project is an accommodation-based drug and alcohol service, accredited and funded by Bristol City Council. We provide good quality housing combined with individual support to men and women whose lives have been directly affected by alcohol or substance misuse. Service-user involvement plays a significant part in both the philosophy and direction of our services; all support planning is devised in conjunction with service users.
The service we offer
Our services enable us to provide accommodation and support at various stages of addiction and recovery, from crisis intervention to abstinence based accommodation. We offer a multi-agency approach in support delivery, encouraging clients to engage in the various day programs and relevant services available here in Bristol.
Since its inception in July 2004, The Junction Project has developed an enviable reputation, providing a high standard of support, accommodation and facilities which resulted in the Junction Project becoming the latest contracted support provider here in Bristol.
