Neighbours Connect is a project aimed at connecting volunteers with members of the community who would like help with tasks or companionship and sometimes both! We have a Southmead resident who would love someone to drive her to Aldi and support her in picking up what she wants for the week. This is a six month volunteer role with flexible hours and all expenses will be fully reimbursed. What skills, experience and qualities are we looking for in our Neighbours Connect volunteers
People who are:
- Caring, sympathetic, sensitive and non-judgemental
- Good communicators
- Comfortable working on their own but also know when to ask for support
- Understanding of the importance of boundaries and developing positive and helpful relationships
- Reliable
