Join in seasonal practical activities:
- Cut back brambles along woodland edges or in grassland.
- Clear litter along paths and streams.
- Learn new skills – scything grass or pruning fruit trees.
- Rebuild paths and steps to stop woodland flowers being trampled.
- Observe and learn about the animals, plants and habitats.

Wear sturdy shoes and suitable clothing for the weather.
No experience needed. All levels of fitness welcome.
Work sessions are normally led by Nicky Hodges, the ‘Roving’ ranger. Joe McKenna, will be covering the sessions in October.
Each session will begin with a ‘tools talk’ covering:
- Intro to site and the day’s task
- Demonstration of how to use tools
- Working safely at the site and with consideration for others
An email to confirm details of the meeting point and session the day before.
We want you to feel welcome and included. Please let the ranger know of any barriers to you getting involved. We will try our best to find ways to get them out of the way.
