Do you like books? Do you like getting things in order? Don’t want to be committed to long term volunteering? If so, this is the ideal volunteering opportunity for you!
The regional office of the Churches Conservation Trust for the West is located in the beautiful church of St Thomas the Martyr in Bristol City Centre. We have a number of reference books in the office which we would like to rationalise, organise and relocate.
We are looking for someone who is organised and can work on their own, enjoys books and problem solving.
This time limited opportunity is a great way to volunteer without any long-term commitment. The role would be an ideal way to fill time over the long summer vacation for a student or someone who is recently retired. and would like to get their teeth into something challenging. Equally, if you are looking to get back into the workplace then this might suit you too.
The Business Support Officer, the Region’s administrator, will support you during the project and work alongside you as necessary.
Due to the work schedule of the Business Support Officer the volunteering can be undertaken at times to suit the volunteer from Tuesday to Thursday 9am – 4pm.
Due to the physical layout of the building the volunteer undertaking this role will need to have a reasonable level of fitness. Some tasks will involve working in a dusty environment.
It is hoped that this task can be completed by the end of 2025.
