As a learning mentor you will be supporting, motivating and guiding children to help them over come barriers that are preventing them from achieving their full potential and enjoy learning. You will be working in a close-knit team providing essential support and development to Bristol's "pushed out" learners. Promoting our ethos to provide a holistic learning approach to develop the "entire being" of each child. The children you will be working with are at risk or have been permanently excluded from school due to social, emotional and behavioural struggles as a result of additional needs, trauma and or mental health, who are primary school age.

To be a successful candidate for this role you will need to be enthusiastic, reliable and child centred in your approach. You should also be keen to develop and make progress with each child adhering to the organisations philosophise and ethos. Successful applications must be able to pass an enhanced DBS check, be able to produce proof of identity and provide two supporting professional references. You should also have a minimum of an NVQ level 2 in childcare or social care and be willing to participate in appropriate professional training.
