There are various opportunities to get involved in practical conservation and gardening sessions led by parks staff. Sessions take place in our larger estates and in nature sites across Bristol.

Volunteer in one of our 3 larger estates with a ranger
Volunteer to work alongside our rangers and gardeners in Ashton Court, Blaise Estate or Stoke Park. Each estate runs seasonal volunteering programmes throughout the year.

Volunteer with a "roving" ranger in various sites
You can volunteer to work alongside a ‘roving' rangers (Joe, ParkWork; Nicky, Nature Nuture group or with Holly from One Tree Per Child). Joe and Nicky visit various sites working with volunteers to manage green spaces for nature and people. Holly runs the "one tree per child" tree planting and tree care volunteer programme.

We may not be able to offer new volunteers thier first choice of volunteering in all cases. If a session is full we will do our best to find you a suitable alternative. This may include signposting you to a volunteer led gardening and conservation sessions with your local Friends of Park group.
