The Role of a Volunteer Project Coordinator
A Project Coordinator acts as a team leader that sets up and runs a Hygiene Bank Project. It is a flexible role that can fit entirely into your own schedule.
Becoming a Project Coordinator is a unique opportunity to gain a whole range of skills and experience, make new friends and work as part of a team to make a realdifference in your community.
Working with other project volunteers as they come on board, you will be responsible for working together to collect and sort the donations in local boots stores and distribute them to your local community partners that you chose to support.
As the coordinator, you will be the main point of contact for the project and will need to ensure that all administrative tasks for the projects are completed such as logging all collections and distributions in a timely manner via the main Hygiene Bank system, and checking emails regularly.
Applying for local funding is a great way to boost donations for your project. Your Partnership Manager and our Fundraising team can help with this providing guidance and reviewing the applications; however, you may once again wish to seek a volunteer that has some experience in this to help out.
Other key activities include:
• Managing the project email box
• Meeting virtually with your dedicated Partnership Manager from time to time
• Finding more volunteers and managing community partners.
