Inspired by the Red Roses' love of crochet as a team-bonding activity, England Rugby are calling on the nation to take part in a Yarn Art Installation project, designed to inspire the next generation of female players and deliver a legacy for the Women’s Rugby World Cup 2025. Join with friends, family, or your local rugby team to create a crotchet Red Rose to help support our England Red Roses team in the upcoming competition. Once you’ve made your roses there will also be an opportunity to install the yarn art in a range of local cultural venues and institutions across the city during the tournament (22nd August to 27 September 2025).
Join in with other likeminded crochet enthusiasts at our city centre crochet café at St George’s, Bristol on a Thursday from 11am-1pm throughout the summer from the 17 July through to the 11 September 2025.
St George’s Bristol are also looking for volunteers who might like to help supervise and join in with other enthusiast crochet’ers! This is all being arranged by St George's most reliable prop, Trish Brown, so if you are interested email her for more info at Trish.Brown@stgeorgesbristol.co.uk
