Join our team of volunteers providing confidential emotional support to people affected by self-harm across the UK.
As a volunteer, you’ll:
- Volunteer 3.5 hours a week on either a Monday or Thursday evening, primarily from our Bristol office
- Develop valuable skills in active listening, trauma, and mental health
- Make a meaningful impact by helping others feel heard, understood, and less alone
- Receive specialist training, ongoing supervision, and group support
- Connect with a caring community of like-minded people
Our volunteers provide support via text, email, and helpline calls.
Our next training dates for this role are on Monday 24th, Tuesday 25th, Thursday 27th November, and Monday 1st December 2025, 10am-4pm each day.
You don’t need previous experience — just empathy, openness, and commitment to learning. Training and DBS checks are provided.
“Volunteering has transformed my life, my mental health, and my career. I couldn’t recommend it more highly.” — Volunteer
