Helping children build model yachts for the Harbour Festival Boat Race.

We are looking for individual or teams of volunteers to build model sail boats that will race in the Bristol harbour festival on 18^th July. Volunteers support four children to build a meter long pilot cutter. All parts and equipment is provided. The workshops are held on our ship in the harbour and in schools. No specialist knowledge or skills are needed all sessions start with a briefing. Sessions are led by us and supervised by teachers. DBS checks are not essential.

Date for volunteering to help launch the children’s boats from a barge

• 18^th July - starts Nova Scotia Landing to ballast and load the barge at 10am. Transfer upriver to launch. Disembark Arnolfini or SS Great Britain 12:30
