We're having a community picnic that's part of the Festival of Nature community events-details below.
We need stewards to help with the smooth running of the event, to welcome people and direct people around the activities. You'll have a steward briefing note, access to a WhatsApp group for comms between the team, be switched between 4 different positions so you get to see lots of the event, a high visibility jacket to wear and to know that you're doing something brilliant for this little park among the terraced houses of Bedminster. Stewards will be needed from 10.30am - 3.30pm. We also need a setup crew putting up marquees and a take down crew for the marquees and litter picking the field-these can be the same people or separate. Please do come and help us make this first event really special.
The event will have a bug hunt, butterfly feeder making with BS3 Repair Cafe, wellbeing demos of yoga, t'ai chi and Nordic walking and drinks, snacks and their own lawn games. We encourage people to bring their picnic blankets and their own food and get to know their neighbours. It runs from 10am - 3pm.
