Here at our Greenway Gym we have two members (a lovely chatty couple) who use our gym twice a week, who are visually impaired. Due to their disability, to work-out they need someone to guide them around the centre, set up equipment and machines...and they also love a good chin wag! They require a volunteer to help them achieve their exercise goals on Mondays, around 10am for about an hour. No gym experience from you is required as they already have set routines and use equipment they know well. You will also be shown how to set up the various machines by our staff and no experience working with the visually impaired community is needed either as we will teach you about guidance. If this is something you could do then we’d love to hear from you.
