Role title: Activity Support Volunteer for Hoppiness Project

Purpose of the role: Supporting elderly residents to engage in our monthly therapeutic activity sessions at two care home in Bristol.

You will help participants to engage in nature-based, multisensory activities and with each other, with the aim of improving their wellbeing in a holistic way (mentally, physically, cognitively, socially). We will grow hops and brew beer - brewery trip included!

What you will be doing:

  • Helping set up resources and materials for activities
  • Supporting participants socially and with nature- based activities (gardening and green crafts), reminiscence
  • Passing on any queries or issues to project leaders
  • Helping pack away at end of session

Time:

On Wednesdays, once or twice a month
