You’ll work within a team of volunteers with supervision from a role manager to deliver a group enabling people living with dementia to participate in activities and to meet others in a relaxed, supportive environment.
About you:
This role will suit you if you are friendly and caring with good verbal communication skills. You'll enjoy meeting new people and be willing to learn about dementia and the impact it has on people affected by it.
The impact you’ll make:

Your support at the group will aim to reduce social isolation and contribute to the wellbeing of people affected by dementia
What you need to know:
We need to ensure that people living with dementia who benefit from our services are safe. In order for us to do this we interview, check and train our volunteers in on-going roles. If you have accessibility need we’ll make reasonable adjustments to enable you to volunteer. This role also requires a criminal records check – there’s more information in the role description. We welcome volunteers from all backgrounds, communities and experiences. We will make you feel welcome, included and respected because together we are united.
