Westbury Wildlife Park Foundation is a 13 acre sanctuary in the village of Westbury on Trym. Our aim is to support disabled, elderly, underprivileged and minority groups engage and learn and engage with nature in a safe and therapeutic environment. Our days open to the public and our events help fund a bursary to support these communities to use the park. The hours that the cafe and gift shop are open is invaluable to the foundations aim.
We are open to the public from 24th of March until November, our opening hours are Fri-Sun 10 - 4.
Full training will be given and support from a manager during your slot.
The park can be busy at peak times and full support from the trust and staff will be given.
The Gift shop is a new enterprise and you will be the welcome face of the park. The gift shop will sell items from around the community and crafts created on site. Full training will be given and help with the setting would be amazing.
This is a customer facing slot and there will be money handling. If you you like to volunteer as a pair or with a family member then please let us know.
The team is social and bubbly. Hours are flexible and all volunteers receive all the tea and coffee they can drink.
