About the role
 
We are looking for a savvy self-starter, Charity General Manager to help build our charity, Reuse, from the ground up.
 
This role is critical to the charites success. You will lead the development of strategy and organisational planning and have the opportunity to influence the direction of the charity.
 
This is a Bristol-based role working from home until we have a permanent office and travelling to local organisations as required.
 
As a pre-money start-up, this will be a volunteer role with flexible hours until we secure funding, then a salary will be provided along with fixed full time hours.
 
General duties will include but not limited to:
  • Working with very closely with the CEO to shape the charity
  • Steer and develop Strategy & Planning
  • Continuously improve on charities mission, vision & values, bringing them to life
  • Representing the charity at meetings, events and in the media
  • Managing relationships with partners, funding bodies and service users
  • Day to day management of volunteers
  • Training of volunteers
  • Dealing with health and safety
  • Provide clear role responsibilities and streamline efforts across the charity.
  • Write and revise strategy plans
  • Create and manage the strategic roadmap 
  • Manage and create goals for the whole team 
  • Leading internal communication
  • Design organisational structure
  • Manage and develop policies
  • P&L reporting
  • Lead Fundraising efforts
  • Applying for grants
  • Take over functions that have no leader, until one can be found 
  • Weekly review of key functions across the business
  • Progress reporting
  • Liaison with external agencies
 
 
About You
You will have a passion for making a positive difference to the world and have the knowledge and practical experience in leading strategy and execution. 
This said we’re not overly concerned about the education you have, aptitude outweighs qualifications.
This is a hands-on role and you’ll be able to hit the ground running, delivering from day one.
You’ll need excellent organisation skills with an obsession with improving how things are run. Outstanding attention to detail and be able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
