As a small independent charity, Age UK South Gloucestershire relies heavily on donations and fundraising to be able to deliver the work we do. We host a wide range of events throughout the year and often need the help of volunteers to make these a success. The duties of a fundraising volunteer can vary greatly, but it could be:
- Assisting at fundraising events like sponsored walks, golf days, quiz nights etc. With tasks like setup, greeting attendees, or managing registrations
- Running stalls at summer fetes and community events.
- Taking part in bucket collections.
- Help with raffles and auctions by sourcing prizes.
- Support the planning and promotion of events—spreading the word on social media or in your community.
We are looking for outgoing, friendly and enthusiastic volunteers who are comfortable engaging with the public.
No previous experience is needed just a positive attitude and the desire to make difference.
