Discover how you can create your very own Fun Palace - a community-powered celebration where everyone is an artist and everyone is a scientist. Whether you're a seasoned organiser or simply curious, this workshop invites you to join in, learn, collaborate, and share your passion.

Why You Should Come

  • No experience needed: Ideal for newcomers eager to launch community arts or science activities.

  • Connect and collaborate: Meet local creatives, educators, grassroots groups, venue holders.

  • Get inspired and supported: Learn about the Fun Palaces movement and how to bring your unique event idea to life.

  • Boost your community: Add to Bristol’s creative culture by opening spaces, hosting mini-workshops, or leading a skill-share - whatever excites you.

What Is a Fun Palace?

Fun Palaces are free, inclusive events created by communities where people share skills, stories, crafts, experiments, performances, history, tech, and more. Over the past decade, over 2,500 events have been run—featuring everything from kitchen science demos and wild weaving to hovercraft builds and pinhole photography.

Who’s It For?

Perfect for those who live in Bristol, care about local culture, want to make connections, and believe everyone has something to share:

  • First‑time makers

  • Creative or science practitioners

  • Venue holders

  • Community organisers

  • Curious neighbours

If that’s you—come join the fun.
