Join us on Saturday 5th April for our 'Spring Gathering' event, as part of the Bristol Community Festival.
9.30am-11am - Take part in a low-impact planting session on Rodney Road Playing Field. Plant out some pollinator friendly plants in our local park, and sow a sunflower or some vegetable seeds with the kids to take home with you. Please bring weather appropriate clothing / footwear and a trowel if you have one.
11am - 12.30pm - Pop round the corner to our friendly local pub The Rose and Crown and grab a hot drink and a piece of cake. Find out more about the Friends of Rodney Road and all of the work that's happened so far and go home with some free seeds to sow, plus hear from an amazing new Barton Fields community project - 'Street Goat'.
Please note that there are no facilities at Rodney Road Playing Field. Toilets can be accessed from 10am at The Rose and Crown, a 3 minute walk from the park. All children need to be supervised by their designated grown-up at all times.
A big thank you to Vital Seeds and Riverside Garden Centre for donating free seeds for this event.
