We are looking to assess the effects of mood on taste perception.
This study consists of a two-part session, which will last up to 4 hours in total.
You will be given a break between the first and second part of the study session.
This study will involve eating vegetarian pizza and a selection of biscuits provided by us.
This study will also involve various computer tasks.
You can take part if you...
- Are female.
- Are aged between 18 and 60.
- Have normal or corrected to normal vision.
- Are willing to not consume any food or calorie-containing drinks 3 hours prior to the study session.
- Are willing to remain in test room for the 4-hour duration of the study session without access to any electronic devices.
- Are willing to not consume any food or calorie-containing drinks during the break between the first and second part of the study session whilst remaining in the test room.
- Are not currently dieting.
- Are not following a vegan diet or have any food allergies or intolerances.
- Do not have a history of eating disorders.
- Are not pregnant, breastfeeding or taking medication that could influence your
appetite (except oral contraception).
You will be provided free lunch and snacks, as well as a one-off payment of £10 as compensation for your time.
Sessions take place Monday to Friday, with one slot at 12:00pm and another at 1:15pm, at the School of Psychological Science, University of Bristol (12a Priory Road, Bristol, BS8 1TU).
