Role title: Therapeutic Horticulture Volunteer at the Bristol Royal Infirmary
Purpose of the role: Supporting hospital patients living with dementia to engage in our weekly therapeutic gardening sessions at the Bristol Royal Infirmary's Sanctuary Square garden. You will help participants to engage in nature-based activities and with each other, with the aim of improving their wellbeing in a holistic way (mentally, physically, cognitively, socially).
What you will be doing:
- Helping set up resources and materials for activities
- Supporting participants socially and with nature- based activities (gardening and green crafts)
- Passing on any queries or issues to project leaders
- Helping pack away at end of session
What you could get out of it:

- Learning more about dementia and other illnesses and disabilities - training opportunities in the field
