About Friends Ageing Better

Friends Ageing Better (FAB) is run by Age UK Bristol as a way to build up a community of older people across the city. FAB cafes happen across Bristol and are a great way to meet new people, build relationships, and find out what else is happening locally and beyond. FAB has a membership scheme, which allows people to benefit from discounts at local venues and businesses.

FAB Disco Volunteer:

  • Helping to set up ready for the Disco and clearing down at the end.
  • Welcoming and stewarding people to the disco.
  • Supporting our DJs by taking people’s musical requests and encouraging people to engage and participate in activities and games (this does not involve dancing in front of a crowd!).
  • Serving snacks and refreshments.
