Plus Importance Project is the UK's first registered charity focused on the + of LGBT+, defined as 'sexualities, gender identities, relationship orientations and sex characteristics including, but not limited to, asexual, genderfluid, genderqueer, intersex, non-binary, pansexual, polyamorous and queer'.
In 2024, we ran a pilot training and consultancy offer for charitable organisations to improve understanding and inclusion of people in the + of LGBT+, funded by the Bristol Pride Community Fund, consisting of:
- a 2-hour training session
- a review service for governing documents, policies, forms and webpages
- support creating a mini culture strategy to embed long-term improvements
This pilot project has received incredibly positive feedback with 98% of attendees agreeing that they would recommend the session and 65% strongly agreeing that the session improved their understanding of identities in the + of LGBT+.
We're now looking at how we can roll this offer out wider in 2025 to reach more organisations (including commercial business and bigger organisations), to cover a wider geographic area and to generate an income for the charity.
We're looking for support in developing our approach from an organisation with expertise in sales, including:
- Reviewing how we price our offer for organisations of different types, sizes and locations
- Reviewing how we best package our training and support offer to be appealing to a wide range of organisations and maximise the impact we can make
- A sales approach/strategy on how to effectively market our offer and reach our intended audiences
