We’re looking for friendly, reliable volunteers who can lend a helping hand at our recurring monthly events across Bristol.
We currently run five regular socials:
-
2 x board game nights
-
2 x walking groups
-
1 x craft meet-up
Each session runs for approximately two hours.
Our walking group always requires two volunteers present (at least one with first aid training), but there are also opportunities to host our other sessions if that’s something you’d enjoy.
Our volunteers play a really important role in creating a welcoming, inclusive atmosphere. We’re looking for people who are personable, easy to talk to, and comfortable starting conversations, especially with individuals who may find socialising challenging due to a range of social or emotional factors.
What you’ll be doing:
-
Welcoming attendees and helping new people feel at ease
-
Supporting with light set-up and pack-down
-
Helping facilitate conversation where needed
-
Assisting the event lead to ensure the session runs smoothly
-
For walking groups: helping with headcounts and general group safety (with at least one volunteer first aid trained)
This is an ad-hoc opportunity, ideal for someone who wants to support their community without committing to a weekly role.
Full support will be provided including safeguarding training and a DBS check, and you’ll always be part of a wider team.
