We are looking for volunteers to help us run our inclusive event 'Celebrating our Community', a day of fun and activities designed by people with Learning Disabilities for the whole community.
The event will be taking place on Sunday 3rd November at St Werbrughs Community Centre, BS2 9TJ.
About the Role
We're looking for friendly and approachable people to help make sure our event runs smoothly. No previous events experience is required, just plenty of enthusiasm!
- There are a number of roles available including set up, running activities and assisting visitors.
- The event will be taking place 11am -3pm, with volunteers required before, during and after to help with set up and pack down. We can organise the length of your shift depending on your availbity - you can stay the whole time or just a couple of hours!
- Each volunteer is provided with a free lunch
About Celebrating our Neighbourhood
Celebrating our Neighbourhood will take place on Sunday 3rd November, 11am - 3pm in St Werburghs Community Centre. It is an inclusive event, and is open to everybody!
The day will include:
- Story-time, Lego building and cake decorating activities
- Stalls from local organisations supporting people with Learning Disabilities
- Arts and crafts with Children's Scrapstore
- Inclusive workshops; drop-in taster sessions in dance, singing and yoga
- Gympanzees pop up sensory room
- An all-day silent disco!
