We will be celebrating our 10 year anniversary as Bristol Cycling Centre on 25th July 2026. This is an event for all the family to attend our most popular sessions for free! We will be offering wheels for all cycling with our inclusive fleet, learn to ride sessions, cycling games and more!

About Us
Here at Bristol Cycling Centre we are passionate about helping people, no matter age or ability, to enjoy cycling in a safe, traffic-free environment. We run a variety of sessions to the public, schools and do events with other organisations and charities. Some of these sessions include Learn to Ride, Family Disability Sessions, and Bikeability Level 1 and 2 courses.
Role
Are you eager to help people? Interested in cycling? Keen to gain some new skills?
We are looking for dedicated and outgoing volunteers to help us in creating a welcoming, fun and inclusive environment at our 10 Year Cycling Celebration! Your main aim will be to support the running of cycling sessions and games. You will be working alongside a hard-working team of qualified Instructors, Operational Staff and other volunteers.
This Volunteering Role will Involve:
- Getting bikes out and set-up for the day.
- Helping us set up cones and chalk for cycling games, and encouraging or guiding them through the games.
- Helping children with the treasure hunt and handing out stickers and prizes.
- Clearing the track of bikes and obstacles at the end of each session.
- Making drinks for customers, including on our smoothie bike!
- Being a friendly face to welcome our guests, and most of all encouraging our riders!
We need you to…
- Have good communication skills and be able to adapt to different communication styles.
- Be able to work effectively as part of a team.
- Be friendly, welcoming and inclusive.
Time Commitment
We offer volunteering opportunities for half day (3.5hrs) or full day (7hrs with 30min break) shifts.
We aim to get to know you and what aspect of the centre you enjoy, and will assign you to tasks best suited to areas you want to learn more about or increase your skill in.
We will provide:
- Experience event working.
- Experience working with children and vulnerable adults.
- Support and basic training where appropriate, to develop your own skills in the areas you would like to focus on.
- Hot drinks and snacks.
- A safe space to volunteer.
