- Approving people coming into the Zoom meeting
- Responding to messages on the Zoom chat
- Checking that Zoom online speakers can share their screen
- Sharing the screen from the laptop - showing the presenter's slides
- Ensuring Zoom attendees are muted when speakers are talking
- Helping Zoom attendees to unmute when asking a question - and informing the in-person host that someone wants to ask a question
- Checking that Zoom attendees can hear the speakers / audience questions
- And most importantly: Switching between webcams to show the person speaking in the room and the audience
This will be a shared role and so you'll be able to work together with others to ensure the above is achieved.
Volunteering to be a Event Technical Assistant will give you direct event expertise to help boost your CV for future roles. It is also a superb opportunity to be part of a national event that is helping to address important environmental issues of single-use plastic and plastic pollution.
Full training will be provided - and we can run through what you'll need to do first thing on the day.
